Today was such a beautiful day here, it was 34 degrees and sunny, and I even got my first sunburn of the season! Not that this is something to be proud of…I put sunscreen on before I left the house this morning, I swear! But I clearly didn’t do a good enough job, because my shoulders are looking a little red this evening. It’s on days like today when I just want to wear shorts and a tank top and go to the beach. Dressing for the office when it’s so hot out takes a bit more effort when you still have to look put together but you don’t want to melt. Today I’m sharing with you a cute outfit I often wear to work that’s perfect in this heat. It’s a summer OOTD work edition!
It is officially the first day of summer tomorrow, and the weather has been SO lovely lately! My favourite part of spring and summer is how light it is in the evenings. It is currently 7 p.m., and I am writing this post on my patio in the sunshine. Can’t beat that! This spring I stocked up on a few summer staples that were missing from my wardrobe, including white shorts and a striped tee! To see how I styled these in a recent OOTD, keep reading! 🙂
For me, summer is all about the beach, cold drinks, long walks, late nights, endless ice cream and bright colours. Summer is so vibrant with all the flowers and bright clothes, so why not extend this trend to your lips? This season I have been on the hunt for the perfect orange lipstick. Having never dabbled in the world of orange lips before, I didn’t exactly know what I was looking for, except that I wanted it to be BRIGHT!
Enter Nyx Butter Lipstick in the shade Hot Tamale. One swatch of this in the drugstore was all I needed before I knew this baby was the answer to my orange lipstick needs 😉
I have struggled with dry skin for many years, but it is only in the last year that I have really worked to find a skincare routine that works for me and my skin. It’s amazing how the right products can really make a difference. No more tight skin or dry patches here! Keep reading to see my top skincare essentials for dry skin, including a face cream, an eye cream, an overnight hydrating mask and a cleanser.
If you read my post last week, comparing the Clarins lip oil with the Essence lip oil, you’ll know I recently discovered the Essence brand. Today I am putting it to the test again, this time comparing the Anastasia clear brow gel vs Essence lash brow gel mascara. Keep reading to see full reviews of both brow gels and which one comes out on top.
Although Christmas is over, winter is very much still here, and with it comes dry air, dry skin and cracked lips. This winter, I have discovered a couple of lip oils, and today I will be sharing them with you. I have a high-end option and a drugstore option: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil vs Essence Prettifying Lip Oil. Keep reading to find out how they compare in terms of packaging, formula and value.
Becca blushes are some of the most pigmented, beautiful blushes I have ever used. So when I heard Milani Baked Blushes were an amazing drugstore alternative, I was excited to give it a try. Keep reading to see if Becca Songbird is a dupe for Milani Baked Blush Luminoso, including swatches of both.
It is December 1st, and Christmas party season is upon us! I have two Christmas parties to go to this week, and they both take place after work. I don’t wear a ton of makeup to work, so if I’m going out after I usually bring makeup along with me if I don’t have time to go home first. It is so easy to transform a day look to a night look with just a few products. Today I am sharing with you four products you can throw in your purse to create a day-to-night office Christmas party makeup look.
I wrote a post a few months ago where I compared the Marcelle Micellar water with the Garnier Micellar water (see that post HERE), and basically I explained how amazing the Marcelle one was, and how useless the Garnier one was. #spoileralert When I finally ran out of the Garnier one, I went to the store to buy the Marcelle one, and again, I couldn’t find it! Walmart, you are letting me down with your selection! Anyways, beside the pink bottle of Garnier Micellar water I got last time, I saw there was a blue one. And upon closer investigation, I wondered if this could be the product I was looking for all along…
