Happy New Year!

2015 brought a lot of change for my husband and I as we transitioned into the next chapter of our lives. He graduated university the same month my contract for the job I was working at ended, and we had an unknown world ahead of us.  When I got a new job in a small town in another province, we packed up a u-haul trailer and drove for two days to our new home. Fast forward to a not-so-distant four weeks later, and we were packing up the u-haul again to move back to our home province after the job did not work out, and we had made the difficult decision to leave.

But as always, God’s plan is better than anything we could ever dream up ourselves, and He showed how impeccable His timing is. The day after we arrived to my mom’s house where we planned to stay until we figured out a plan, I got an interview at a dream job, and I got it! The amazing timing of it all still amazes me.

Seven months later, we are all settled into our own place an hour from my family instead of 12, and both my hubby and I are working in great jobs.

If only I could go back in time and tell our past selves that it will all work out. I know there will be many more struggles to come over the years and many hardships to conquer, but I hope to learn from this experience and realize all we can do is look to the One who is in charge of it all.

What are you looking forward to about the new year? Check out my next post to see what my goals are for 2016, and be sure to tell me some of yours!
